Grammy Award-winning musician Lizzo has a message for Cedars-Sinai staff who are on the front lines of fighting the current COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic in Los Angeles.
"You know, we love you so much, and I feel like a lot of the times it's hard to feel the love and appreciation coming in, so I just wanted to give you a personal shoutout and a reminder that you are loved and we are thinking of you every single day,” she says.
Her message of support comes as Cedars-Sinai staff members prepare for the expected surge of COVID-19 patients in the coming weeks.
"I just wanted to give you a personal shoutout and a reminder that you are loved and we are thinking of you every single day.”
"We are definitely social distancing because I do not want to make your job any more difficult than it already is right now," she says.
Andy Ortiz, senior vice president of Human Resources at Cedars-Sinai, says he's grateful for the uplifting message during this unprecedented time.
"This special message from Lizzo to Cedars-Sinai team members typifies the outpouring of support and encouragement we've received from our community," he says. "I'm proud that our hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed."
"Anything y'all need, just let me know. I'm around the corner. Love you,” Lizzo says while blowing a kiss.
