Support for Your Emotional, Mental and Physical Wellbeing
Our team understands that life may be different after a cancer diagnosis. The Wellness, Resilience and Survivorship services at Cedars-Sinai are dedicated to helping patients live life to the fullest. Together, our transdisciplinary team can help guide cancer patients in physical fitness, managing pain, reducing fatigue, coping and building mental and physical resilience.
Individual and Small Group Activities for Cancer Patients
Cedars-Sinai offers an array of individual and small-group activities for cancer patients and cancer survivors:

Cancer Exercise Recovery Program
A 12-week series designed to help patients combat fatigue, improve strength and balance, reduce depression and build physical resilience.

Gentle Yoga for Wellness
Incorporates gentle postures as well as breathing and meditation techniques to carefully improve range of motion, increase circulation, ease stress and help with side effects such as nausea, fatigue and pain. Safe for those with neuropathy (pain caused by nerve damage) or lymphedema.

Nutrition in Your Kitchen
A three-part, small-group class supporting healthy eating at home through cooking demonstrations, recipe tasting and nutrition education focused on cancer survivorship.

Journey Beyond Black and White: Cancer Survivorship Through Art
Tell your story through art. Each small-group class focuses on a different theme relating to a patient's journey through their cancer experience. Offered once a week for seven weeks.

Qigong in Roxbury Park
An ancient Chinese form of exercise that combines movement, self-massage, meditation and breathing, fostering positivity and confidence.

Emerging from the Haze™
An educational program to help patients cope with treatment-related changes in thinking and memory, otherwise known as "chemo brain." Meets once a week for six weeks.

GRACE (Growing Resiliency and Courage)™
A program focused on cultivating resilience, managing perspective, coping with fear and discovering meaning and purpose after a cancer diagnosis. Meets once a week for six weeks.

RISE (Re-Invent, Integrate, Strengthen, Expand)
A personalized health self-management clinic where patients learn how to build new healthy habits and routines, develop strategies for managing cancer-related side effects, and return to valued activities after a cancer diagnosis. One-on-one sessions are available on a rolling basis.

Cancer Wellness, Resilience and Survivorship Series
This new educational series offers a variety of topics, presentations and guests each quarter. The programs are tailored specifically for cancer patients and cancer survivors. Mindfulness Program
This mind/body program provides calming techniques to cope with the stressors that can come with a cancer diagnosis. You can access these learning modules on your smartphone or tablet from anywhere at any time to find comfort and support.
