Ear, Nose and Throat Clinical Trials
Cedars-Sinai is among the few programs in Southern California evaluating new ear, nose and throat treatments through clinical trials. You have access to new therapies sometimes years before they become widely available. And our decades of experience mean you can count on us for safe care that gives you the best chances for healing.
Papillary thyroid microcarcinoma
- Pathologically confirmed Bethesda V or VI thyroid nodules with papillary thyroid carcinoma or high clinical suspicion, or pathologically confirmed Bethesda III or IV nodules with BRAF mutation
- 2.0 cm or smaller nodules by ultrasonographic criteria
This study focuses on patients with papillary thyroid cancer with a 2.0 cm or smaller nodule. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the outcomes of active surveillance (observation) instead of immediate surgery (the current standard of care for papillary thyroid microcarcinoma).
Head and neck cancer
- Pathologically proven diagnosis of head and neck cancer
- Eligible for radiation therapy with curative intent
- At least 18 years old
This study focuses on patients with head and neck cancer who have planned to receive radiation to their tumor as part of standard treatment. The study aims to examine the relationship between molecular signatures, a unique pattern of gene expression, and radiation treatment breaks during head and neck cancer therapy.
