The Cardio-Oncology Program at the Smidt Heart Institute is a highly specialized clinic dedicated to the heart health of patients undergoing cancer treatment as well as cancer survivors. We understand that the use of radiation and chemotherapy may have adverse effects on a patient’s current heart function and future heart-disease risk.

Led by an expert team of cardiologists who collaborate with oncologists to treat patients at any stage of cancer therapy and provide personalized, comprehensive preventive and treatment strategies for optimal heart health. We specialize in identifying and treating men and women who may be at increased risk of heart disease before, during and after chemotherapy treatment.
