Mechanical Circulatory Support Program
The Mechanical Circulatory Support Program at the Smidt Heart Institute provides complete state-of-the-art care for patients with heart failure. Mechanical devices that help the heart pump blood can save the lives of patients awaiting a donor transplant. For others, an implanted device can become a permanent treatment.
Led by Jaime Moriguchi, MD, Cedars-Sinai's program offers the most innovative cardiac technology, including left and right ventricular assist devices and Total Artificial Heart. Patients can access novel technologies through clinical trials.
