When you have lung disease, shortness of breath can make activities, including exercise and taking care of yourself, seem difficult. Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program helps you push past challenges and change habits for a better quality of life. We can help you improve your strength, stamina and confidence within weeks of participation in the program.

What is Pulmonary Rehabilitation?

The Cedars-Sinai Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is a 6-to-9 week, individually tailored program to help you adapt to new ways of living. We help you more effectively manage the limitations of your pulmonary disease.

Through a series of lectures, you will learn about:

  • The specifics of your disease
  • Symptom management
  • Effective breathing techniques
  • Nutrition and weight management

Life is different when you have lung disease. Even with treatment, you may still experience symptoms. And some shy away from activities for fear of becoming breathless. At Cedars-Sinai, we don’t let these problems keep you sidelined. Our pulmonary rehabilitation specialists put you back in control of your life.
