ALS Clinic

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) leads to progressive muscle weakness in the arms, legs, tongue and throat. ALS can cause trouble with walking and speaking.

Our team, including some of the world's leading ALS experts, provides an extraordinary level of care. We deliver personalized treatments that help you make the most of each day. And our coordinated approach means less time at the doctor, so you can spend more time doing the things you enjoy.

What Is ALS?

ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, causes cells in the brain and spinal cord (motor neurons) to stop working. Without motor neurons, your brain cannot communicate with your muscles, causing them to weaken.

ALS symptoms can affect muscles anywhere in your body, leading to:

  • Difficulty moving, including tripping and falling
  • Labored breathing
  • Paralysis
  • Slurred speech
  • Trouble swallowing
