What You'll Learn
This class is designed for parents, grandparents and anyone who wants to learn how to perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) on infants up to 1 year of age. Please be aware that this program is not designed for those seeking CPR certification, or who are required to attend a CPR course for the workplace or a credential.
You'll be taught how to perform CPR on an infant, and practice on a mannequin for hands-on instruction. The class also covers safety issues, such as:
- Laws regarding car seat safety
- Accident prevention in the home, including pool safety
- SIDS awareness
- Earthquake preparedness
- Poisoning prevention
