What Is Male Infertility and Sexual Dysfunction?

Male infertility is a condition of the reproductive system that makes it difficult or impossible to father biological children.

Sexual dysfunction, such as erectile dysfunction or other ejaculatory conditions, may also affect male fertility.

However, male infertility and sexual dysfunction are often treatable and, in some cases, curable. Many underlying conditions cause male infertility and sexual dysfunction. Our experts help get to the root cause and provide treatment.

Treatment

From medicine that regulates hormones to minimally invasive procedures that optimize reproduction, our treatments help restore male fertility and sexual health.

We surgically remove sperm and freeze it, so it's available for future fertility treatments, such as intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF). Much like egg retrieval for women, sperm retrieval is carefully timed. Our team has expertise in many types of sperm retrieval procedures, so we can choose the right one for your needs.

You may decide it's time for permanent birth control. During a vasectomy, we sever the two tubes (vas deferens) that carry sperm from the testes to the penis. After the procedure, you will no longer ejaculate sperm during sex. We may perform a traditional surgery with a single, long incision, or perform a minimally invasive procedure through one small hole.

If you decide to reverse your vasectomy, we're here to help. We use minimally invasive surgery to reconnect the pathway between the testes and penis. This procedure allows sperm to once again travel from the testes to the penis and out.
