Sherman excellent plastic surgeon but I was Dismayed at last minute decision to exclude scheduled orthopedic surgeon that could have easily remove retained bone staple. Hopefully will not be an infection problem

Dr. R. Sherman showed little concern for my overall health. He did not seem to care about my concerns about my specific medical situation. He exhibited a very casual attitude towards surgical risks. I do not trust Dr. Sherman, because he exhibited poor judgment. Given the fact that Dr. Sherman has had a lengthy carrer as a surgeon, I think that his poor advice does not reflect his knowledge or experience. Rather his poor advice reflects an attitude of carelessness and a lack of caring about me as a patient.

Dr. Sherman is the best doctor ever. I won't go to anyone else for these types of surgeries. He is #1 and I tell everyone how wonderful he is. I greatly appreciate his acceptance of me as a patient. Thank God for Dr. Sherman.

Dr. Sherman wasn't even willing or interested In inspecting the site on my body where previously three gaping holes have opened up from excessive, draining and fluid retention, forcing a later procedure, a scheduled shoulder surgery, to be canceled. Sherman had even consulted the shoulder surgeon about these wounds previously by texted photos sent by the shoulder surgeon- so he was certainly familiar with how bad it got. But instead of showing any interest in the patient's well-being whatsoever, Sherman proceeded to refer to my original plastic surgeon, about whose work I was trying to get a second opinion (as advised by the shoulder surgeon), and nearly stated that I have an excellent doctor in the first plastic surgeon, and everything will just be fine. He even seemed impatient with why I was there at all, He was infinitely more impressed with himself and his colleagues' credentials and he's clearly a subscriber to the old boys club in which doctors just rally round the wagons and tell the patient it's their problem If they have doubts: patient's well-being was clearly a secondary, or even tertiary concern at best compared to puffing himself up and praising my first doctor. The Arrogance, condescension, disinterest, swaggering, body language, and not-so-subtly bullying style, as if I were an idiot, are completely unacceptable, and will be the subject of many reviews I am writing online this week. Randy should be informed that such behavior does not make him a better doctor., it just makes him a better jerk.

Dr. Sherman told me that many people live with dehiscence after cervical spine surgery. He gave me a "sleeping pill" which was actually a SRI to help with sleep.
