Fernando Henriq Galvao Tessaro, PhD, obtained his degree in pharmacy from the State University of West Paraná in Brazil and earned his master of science and doctorate from the University of São Paulo in Brazil. His research interests are the understanding of tumor-associated macrophage, tumor microenvironment and sarcoma genesis. Before joining Guarnerio Lab, Galvao Tessaro investigated the effect promoted by diabetes/hyperglycemia in the immune system and beta cell.
Emily Ko graduated in 2008 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she majored in neuroscience. She is aiding Jlenia Guarnerio, PhD, in investigating new drivers involved in the process of sarcomagenesis and characterizing the sarcoma microenvironment.
